The News as it should be!
There I was, trying to get up to date with the current events. Nothing changed from the last week that I checked the news. It is always the same drivel.
When I do decide to gaze "upon the world" first I check the BBC website followed by Alternet, The Guardian and several other sites to find multitude of sources so I can try and form my own image on the situation and try to find the "truth" behind all the sensationalized, bombastic clutter and the truth is usually somewhere in the middle.
I am very selective about where I get my information from and personally I trust the BBC most. Huff post and FOX News are equally vile, deceptive, whitewashing opposite sides of the same coin. They both lie, deceive and bullshit people.
As for BBC, they are doing their best to maintain their integrity, which is not easy when the corporations are the ones that dictate what and how the said news should be reported. They often downplay the important news with political correctness and they report only few lines on the news that should be investigated and reported in depth. While at the same time bullshit from entertainment and distraction pieces are well advertised, talked about and forced upon the viewers.
The following clip from the TV show "The Newsroom" is the type of honesty that we as the citizens of the Earth deserve and should demand.
Unfortunately the obnoxious trend, which is common to all the mainstream and most of the independent news outlets is to lie, mislead, take out of context, doctor and edit the news and information for whomever payed will continue. This is the world we live in.
I am yet to see a real, independent and neutral news coverage that will call it as it is. The power of the media is overwhelming in shaping our opinions and brainwashing the masses. It is up to us to discover what the real news is.
However, most of the people are preoccupied with their mere survival and worries that modern day slavery brings. There is no desire nor need to be concerned or interested into researching the news and trying to find the truth for themselves, which is usually somewhere in the middle. This is one of the many reasons why governments and nations end up in the hands of people like Trump.
In conclusion, I strongly believe that we have the right to the trustworthy media, which would say what has to be said without relying on sensationalism to keep their ratings up and thus also attracting advertisers, which in the end manipulate and control together with corporations owning the media and in extension the governments what the public should know and from what angle.
To start changing the world for the better, media must become independent and journalists must again become voices of the truth, whatever it might be without faking, making things up, taking things out of context and lying.
I beleive many are out there who want this change, but if they would actually speak their minds and report the truth, they would be fiered on the spot and we all have bills to pay.
Till next time,
